Beijing Research Center for Radiation Application(BRCRA) under the Beijing Science and Technology Research Institute establised in 1987,is an enterprise jointly funded by Beijing Municipality,the International Atomic Energy Agency and the National Science Commission.Is is the industrialization of scientific research and industrial base on which China's nuclear technology has developed from the laboratory to the industrialzation.It is also a high-tech enterprise whose technology system was converted in 2000.

BRCRA is primarily engaged in radiation sterilization and radiation protection materials,thermal protective and noise insulation materials,special rubber modified radition materials,environmental heavy metals anticorrosion coating and nuclear detection instrumentation development and production.

BRCRA is accredited the "Beijing Science and Technology Research and Development Institution",by the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission.It is built a radiation technology and new materials research center with the dose and microbiology laboratory approved by CANS(China National Accreditation Service for confirm Assessment) and it also has the key laboratory on novel materials research using radiation of the Beijing Science and Technology Research Institute and the application center of radiation technology and its products.

BRCRA joins a postdoctoral program for Beijing Science and Technology Research Institute.

BRCRA has a major advantage in cross-cutting fields as nuclear physics,radiation protection,radioactive chemical,radiological and microbiological multidisciplinary polymer materials.

BRCRA has a subsidiary R&D center,four holding companies and three bases.

BRCRA,with its subsidiaries occupies a total area of covers 50,000 square meters,with a construction area of 20,000 square meters,of which the production area covers 10,000 square meters of floor space,esearch and office cover an area of about 10,000 square meters.

Currently,BRARC has employed 160 staff including 40 professional researchers.
